About Tanya

Experienced enough to advise. Hands-on enough to build.

I have spent more than 20 years helping organizations solve people, talent, leadership, organizational design, change, and communications challenges.

But the work I love most has always been the same:

Taking something that feels messy, unclear, or stuck — and helping turn it into something people can actually move forward with.
Why NORTH Exists

Sometimes you don't need another hire.

You need someone experienced who can step in, understand the situation quickly, bring structure to it, and help get the work done.

That is why I created NORTH On-Demand™.

Growing businesses and organizations often have important People and organizational work sitting between functions — partly talent strategy, partly performance management, partly change, partly communications, partly project execution. And very often, nobody really owns it.

NORTH On-Demand was built for that kind of work.

Who I Typically Help

Over the years, I have worked with:

  • Growing businesses and scale-ups
  • Founders and business owners
  • Nonprofit leaders
  • Executive and leadership teams
  • HR and People leaders
  • Organizations navigating growth, change, and transition

Some clients need strategic advice.

Some need additional capacity.

Many need both.

My role is to help create clarity, momentum, and practical solutions that move the work forward.

How I Work

Less theory. More movement.

I can help think through the strategy, but I am also willing to roll up my sleeves and build the deck, develop the communications, create the toolkit, structure the project, document the process, facilitate the conversation, or help move the work across the finish line.

Strategy when you need strategy. Execution when you need execution. Often both.

I am comfortable operating at both levels:

The 30,000-foot question:

What are we actually trying to solve?

And the Tuesday-at-2:00 question:

Okay — what exactly needs to get created, communicated, decided, or done next?

That combination matters.

Modern Ways of Working

Experience + AI-enabled execution.

I combine deep People and organizational experience with modern AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, communications, documentation, presentations, workflows, and execution.

AI is not the strategy. It is a tool that allows experienced judgment and good ideas to move faster.

I am also the creator of NORTH for Nonprofits™, a research-based organizational effectiveness framework designed to help nonprofit leaders identify the operating systems constraining organizational performance and determine where to focus first.

What to Expect

What clients can expect

Clarity

Get to the real problem before jumping to the solution.

Practicality

Build things people can actually use.

Momentum

Keep important work moving.

Ownership

Create tools, systems, and solutions your team can continue using.

Philosophy

Make it clearer. Make it simpler. Help people move.

I believe a lot of business problems become harder than they need to be because people are unclear about what matters, who owns what, or what needs to happen next.

Good work creates clarity — and clarity creates movement.

That philosophy sits underneath everything I do.
